Piece of Mind Starts with a Room with a View posted on 8 November 2011 in Home and Garden As a mother to a teen and a toddler, I have to say that I rarely get any time for myself. Not that I don't love spending time with them, but sometimes things get so hectic around that house that I feel like I need a 'relaxation room' that may even have a verandah with balcony railings. I'm slowly saving up, and one day it will be a reality. The plan is to convert the backyard patio into a sun room. Bright pillows and new wicker chairs will take me away to the beachfront in my imagination. Colorful scented candles and lush greenery will also fill this room. I don't think that this will be a daunting task, I've read enough books to fill a shelf or two. I can picture it right now, and the idea excites me. While I’ve said that I needed my ‘me’ time away from the kids, I can’t think of anyone else I would want to share this beautiful room with than my family. They deserve a ‘vacation’ too.

Since I've never had a cavity, nor braces, nor any other work ever done on my teeth or gums beyond the normal cleaning, I wasn't worried about it. Well, after the cleaning and x-rays, Dr. Mardis comes in to tell me the bad news - I had a cavity - my first! He then asked me if I wanted the x-rays so I could get a second opinion. I was, "No, why would I - you're the dentist. That's what I'm paying YOU for". He laughed and said when he had first started in practice, a guy had asked him for the x-rays to get a second opinion. Dr. Mardis was a little teed off and asked, "Why? Don't you trust me?". Dr. Mardis said he never forgot the guy's response. The guy had replied, "I trust my mom too, but I still cut the cards." While I'm hardly give myself the title portrait photographer in Berkshire, I do like to take the best shots I possibly can by learning photography techniques. I normally use my iphone to take photos and find it just as good as an expensive digital camera. I enjoy taking photos of the skyline and of the coast line. I have taken a vast number of photos of Sydney and Perth. I think I have accumulated at least 200 images. I have around 10 favorite images that I could never part with. I am intending to fly to Australia this year so this will allow me to take lots of pictures. Very excited about that prospect. At first it was just a hobby however I would like to generate an income stream from the pictures. I am considering entering them into an art exhibition in a few weeks. I sometimes post them on my facebook site. Some of my friends seem to want to inform me that they aren't that good. They are just jealous.

So far they have send me close to three responses in my email explaining what had gone wrong and how my account was not recognized by their machine. I believe that now they are working on activating the machine so that I am able to access the same account that I was using on twitter and to all those who tried to help me before I am grateful for your time. I guess the experts know better than we do and that will remain to be a fact.

My Renovation Plans for My Neglected House posted on 11 October 2011 in Construction and Industrial Sometimes I would like to have my house demolished as it looks terrible. I think I must have the worst house in the best street. This is solely due to neglect and not having the available funds to undertake renovations. If I come into some money I have many plans for this house - I'd need to buy in all kinds of materials to improve this house - from velcro tape to wooden floorboards. I would like to have the brick work redone and a paint as it looks rather old. Having an attic would be great as it allow me to view the sea and the city skyscrapers. As for the garage I would like to have an underground garage that is situated under the house which has remote control doors. It would have the room for at least four cars and have an elevator which would take me to the house. I would have an elaborate fence around the house to deter any theft or damage. I hope I do come into some money. It would make a world of difference.
