What I Would Like to See When I Wake Up

posted on 18 April 2011

Currently I am living in a house without a floor with 5 rooms. One bathroom that is not very large but is ok, the other is living room followed by the kitchen, my bedroom and the room where is my office. I wish one day to wake up from a long sleep and when I open my eyes to see that my living room is much larger so inside it can fit a large sofa and two chairs near the plasma TV on the wall. I would also like to have inside my bath a large tub so anytime I want to relax to know that I have only to fill it with hot water. Upstairs I would like to have a huge glass wall and trough it to be able to see my garden and around me to be a pool table, a table for tennis and in one corner to be my equipped computer and in front of it, at a distance of at least 5 m to be three rows of sofas arranged parallel to a wall faced to that wall being designed like a small movie theater. The stairs that connect the floor and ground floor would be made of hardwood and it should not squeak. I want to be in a huge bedroom and my bed to be in the center. In the living room would be nice to be a fireplace and a rocking chair in front of him ready to be used in rainy days, and one or two French antiques to give the place a lovely feel to it. Also I would like my kitchen to be full of equipment from the latest generations and in a corner I would like to have a small chamber always full of supplies. But of course ... I'll have to wait until all this will came true but at least I have an idea about my future house.

Get Kitchen Floor Ideas from TV Shows

posted on 17 April 2011

There is this particular TV show that I fancy watching every week because it features the homes of the wealth and affluent. It features how these homes are creatively designed in contemporary and elegant styles. It is from these kinds of shows that you will get design ideas on how you can make an improvement in your home interiors. I usually get good kitchen floor ideas from this particular TV show. That’s because with several types of houses that they show you learn what type of flooring works great with a kitchen with this kind of motif and size. You get educated with the functionality of each type of flooring that is used for the kitchen floor. As an example, in one of the vacation homes they featured, the kitchen was built on the second level of the house. Dark hardwood was used on the floor of the modern open type kitchen which was an extension of the dining area. The owners used this type of flooring so they will not deviate from the native oriental theme they had for the entire house.

It is often advisable to call the plumber the soonest time possible this will cost less and less time spent. The usual reason why every home owner would not want to call a plumber on the onset of the problem is the fear of the high plumber rates and they would try to stick their hand on the plumbing issue to save money. The Joy of Having Floor Cabinets for Bathrooms

posted on 10 April 2011

As a popular guest in many homes, the one thing I look forward to is a visit to the bathroom. In my opinion the gauge of a well kept home is how the bathroom is arranged. The bathroom is one of the most utilized spaces in the home yet the most neglected. People often forget to dress it up a bit so it is such a joy for me to see a well designed bathroom. Designing a bathroom isn’t all that hard just as long as you know the right furniture to put in it. Bathroom furniture should both be functional as well as outwardly pleasing. In most elite homes, floor cabinets for bathrooms are a common sight. It is a very compact piece of furniture that can store a lot of bathroom essentials without occupying too much space. A tasteful choice of design can make the floor cabinet a wonderful accent in your bathroom. Since its free standing on the floor you can easily move it to a different location once you feel like redecorating your bathroom.

Ceiling Fan Installation not designed for Amateur

posted on 9 April 2011

ceiling fan is a very good appliance that will not only add beauty but comfort to the occupant of the room. This is how a ceiling fan works it will draw cold air to the ceiling and will draw the hot air down to the floor giving a good circulation of well blend air temperature to the room. Thus the heating or cooling units will not work so hard to give the occupants of the room comfort. The only problem with the ceiling fan is the installation process. The ceiling fan kit has a DIY instruction but the instruction sheet has also pointed out to ask the qualified electrician to install the ceiling fan. Most ceiling fan that is sold in the market is not designed for the amateur to tinker. Proper tools are needed as not to be caught in the middle of the installation with a tool lacking. Only an experience electrician is the best to install the ceiling fan to avoid mistake. Electrical mistake is very risky and may damage property that can cause lives.

On My Varying Camping Experiences in the USA

posted on 1 March 2011

In America, camping for the most part began as a way of life. The traditional view of the Gingham table covers laid out on the grass with a picnic laid out, billy can over a fire in the evening - all part of the great American tradition of camping - and a sight you will often see even in 2011 when you venture into the countryside. On camping tips, some of the best pointers you can get for camping come from observing other campers camping around you. Usually the first thing we do when we arrive at our campsite is to set up camp. The adults break up into two groups so as to speed things up. If you have never been camping before, start out slow. Take a weekend, pack the car with some supplies and find a campground close by your home. That way if something goes wrong or for whatever reason you do not like it, home will be just down the road.

I'm a DIY Nut and Can't Stop Working on My Home

posted on 24 February 2011

Since I work as a profiled steel roofer, I am also a bit of a DIY nut. My house has undergone many changes over the past almost thirty years that I have lived in it. My house functions in a different way now than it was thirty years ago. I have begun making some changes and fixing up my house. Like innumerable people, I have fallen prey to cut-backs and downsizing, and the recession has eaten up my savings. I cannot look forward to costly home repairs and remodeling. I assessed the value of my home's condition and tracked down my current needs. After going through a lot of research and with the help of a couple of friends, and after doing some creative thinking, I was able to fix up my home with at an affordable cost. To clean and repair the house is a better place to begin with. I simply gave the house a good cleaning from top to bottom. I got rid of clutter. I discarded things which I haven't used in several months. I washed ceilings, walls, woodwork, windows, and floors. I cleaned up grout in my tiled floors, walls, and countertops. I did steam clean carpeting, and gave my rugs to the laundry and also replaced some of them with new colors. I repaired all the things which were broken in my house. I painted my rooms as it helped in transforming and updating my home. A Paint will enhance a room's beauty.I also painted my ceiling fans with a coat of paint to match my room. So these are things I did to change the look of my House.

Dreams of Summer After the Snow Has Melted

posted on 14 February 2011

After the snow has melted, spring arrives and then finally the long hot summer days return. I love setting up my pop up marquee in the garden as my new "accommodation" for my office and work outside. The kids collect the colorful pails and little shovels that haven't been used for a whole year and we manage to find an assortment of inflatable animals and a beach ball. We slather the sunblock on until we could be mistaken for ghosts, grab some towels and snacks and we're off! Off to the beach for an afternoon of sun worship, swimming, and sand castles with time to look for driftwood and watch the kites flying over the sand dunes. The air is so clear we can see the lighthouse ten miles down the coast, and the waves are big enough to be interesting without being intimidating. The fishermen head out the channel to the big lake with gulls following behind, and the sailboats put their sails up and skim along graceful as dancers. It is absolute perfection. And we say, "It doesn't get any better than this."
