Piece of Mind Starts with a Room with a View

As a mother to a teen and a toddler, I have to say that I rarely get any time for myself. Not that I don't love spending time with them, but sometimes things get so hectic around that house that I feel like I need a 'relaxation room' that may even have a verandah with balcony railings. I'm slowly saving up, and one day it will be a reality. The plan is to convert the backyard patio into a sun room. Bright pillows and new wicker chairs will take me away to the beachfront in my imagination. Colorful scented candles and lush greenery will also fill this room. I don't think that this will be a daunting task, I've read enough books to fill a shelf or two. I can picture it right now, and the idea excites me. While I’ve said that I needed my ‘me’ time away from the kids, I can’t think of anyone else I would want to share this beautiful room with than my family. They deserve a ‘vacation’ too.
