Stealing music is the dumbest thing one can ever do because you will get caught

One of my neighbors is being sued because apparently he took ownership of her song that was not rightfully his, and there is enough tangible proof that will become a disadvantage to him. The one thing that he did and was really dumb was that he recorded the song, not even in a music studio that was recognized, he did it at his place, made a video and then uploaded the video and the lyrics on youtube, passing that as his own music. That was during July and early August, the real owner of the music saw the video and you can imagine how he was really annoyed. What made everything worse was that he had recorded the song before my neighbour did and he even had the music copy rights. The video was blocked and no one would watch it, I suppose this was even worse than youtube slow 2010 aug. He had to pay for the damages and he was not happy about that at all. At times it is just best not to pass someone else's work for your own because you will pay dearly for that.
